Sometimes there is

and

Sometimes there is not , a rainbow in my sky.

Is the sky I see mine?

or Am I in the sky?

What I see, does it see me?

We never know, what is there

until

the See'er is here.

We keep seeing, forgetting who sees.

is the See'er me? what is it that I see?

Why do I want what I see? But not who it is that sees?

And.....

Why do you, you that is me,

only sees somethings, and not other things others see?

I am told they see pots of Gold, and rainbows,

while I see clouds of dust and heat, and bouts of cold.

Irrfan Khan - Loss in the time of Covid-2019

A famous, highly talented Indian Movie Actor, International Movie Actor par excellence, Irrfan Khan, has passed away today. I was a big fan of him, his persona, his aura. I can't recall any acting of his. It was him, his kind pure smile, that glint of naughty intelligent humor lurking in his eyes, and his unforgettable charisma, that never made a splash but always lingered like a scent that haunts you.

His interviews, or a few scenes he did, or the way he looked and smiled in a scene stays with you. But I loved him most during his interviews. He was a true seeker, and great philosopher, a sufi and seeing the grief pouring over the internet, it seems millions loved him for these qualities and saw these transcendent traits in him.

I started loving him as an actor much later, but not exactly sure, when I actually noticed how great he was. Was it Namesake or was it Maqbool or was it Piku. He was silent. Understated. He was like a scent, who clung to your skin. You didn't see him. He was not flashy. But he simply became an experience, and like all true loves in life, it hits you much later that you are already in Love. It is as subtle as it is sure and strong. It is a mystery. 

I love you Irrfan. Will remain sad that I could not meet you in person. God bless your soul ...may it be happy and free of all pain and suffering.
